We’re looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that power our platform. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to implement business logic, integrate third-party services, and ensure smooth system operations in a cloud-native environment.Responsibilities: Develop containerized microservices using Django/FastAPI or .NET Core Implement complex business logic for listings, matching algorithms, and trust scoring Design and optimize database schemas (Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) Build payment orchestration services integrated with Stripe Connect Implement authentication and authorization using AWS Cognito or Auth0 Develop and maintain APIs for real-time messaging, notifications, and group features Ensure PCI compliance and follow security best practices Develop an integration framework for Property Management Systems (PMS) Required Skills: 2+ years of experience in backend development Strong proficiency in Python (Django/FastAPI) Hands-on experience with AWS services (Aurora, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS) Proficiency with containerization and Kubernetes Knowledge of payment processing and PCI compliance standards Solid understanding of API design and RESTful principles Experience with database optimization and caching strategies Nice to Have: Experience integrating Property Management Systems (PMS) Background in FinTech or payment platforms Familiarity with AI/ML for matching algorithms Experience with event-driven architectures
