We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our data team and help us modernize and migrate critical data systems to a new, cutting-edge ecosystem. If you enjoy working with complex databases, cloud technologies, and want to make an impact on meaningful projects, this could be the perfect role for you.What you’ll do Lead the migration and decommissioning of a large database system, ensuring smooth data transfer and minimal disruption Collaborate with vendors, data owners, and technical teams to plan and execute the migration process Take ownership of application and database management, including lifecycle tasks, licenses, and contracts Support day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and optimization activities Work closely with the data engineering team on high-priority projects and process improvements What we’re looking for Experience with Python, SQL, and object-oriented programming Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization best practices Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS) Experience with DevOps practices for logging, monitoring, testing, and alerting in data pipelines Database administration skills: performance tuning, monitoring, data retention, and incident handling A proactive team player with strong problem-solving skills and curiosity to learn new tools
