You’ll help design, build, and maintain backend services and integrations supporting key banking products and internal processes. Your work will focus on reliable, secure, and scalable solutions used daily by thousands of end users and bank employees across Poland.You will work closely with the client’s teams, participate in technical discussions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform and development practices.Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java with Spring (Boot/MVC/Data/Security) and Hibernate. Implement and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and external banking systems. Build and maintain Microservices-based solutions. Work with relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle): design schemas, write efficient queries, analyze performance. Work with message queues (Kafka, Pub/Sub) to build reliable, event-driven integrations. Gradually get involved in building and maintaining business processes using Flowable (supported by the team; prior experience not required). Write clean, testable, and well-documented code; create unit/integration tests (JUnit, Mockito). Use Maven in day-to-day development (build, dependency management, project structure). Troubleshoot and debug production issues; participate in performance analysis and optimization. Collaborate with other developers, QA, architects, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and technical solutions. Requirements 4+ years of experience in Java development, especially Java-based web applications. Strong experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data; Spring Security is a plus). Practical commercial experience with Hibernate. Solid understanding of REST APIs, Web Services, and Microservices architecture. Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle). Good knowledge of message queues (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub). Practical knowledge of Maven in commercial projects. Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
