We are looking for a Senior Scala Engineer with 5+ years of experience to help build and maintain distributed, high-throughput systems in a cloud-native environment.We value ownership, collaboration, and the ability to contribute across the full project lifecycle.This is a fully remote role.Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain complex distributed systems with a focus on high throughput, resilience, scalability, and stability Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices Participate in system architecture discussions, technical design, and implementation planning Optimize and monitor production systems using observability tools Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements Collaborate closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software Proactively contribute technical expertise and support decision-making processes Ability to manage priorities across multiple technical projects Requirements 5+ years of experience in Scala programming Proficiency in MySQL read/write optimization Familiarity with data normalization and denormalization principles Solid understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) Experience with hosting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Sentry, Kibana, Grafana) Proficiency with modern development practices and tools Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables Comfortable working in cross-functional teams Nice to have Familiarity with TypeScript and PHP Understanding of asynchronous data projections Experience with automated deployment and monitoring tools Passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing We offer
