Role Overview:We are looking for a QA Engineer to join the team developing our intraday / real-time risk platform in the financial markets domain. The platform is live in production and is currently undergoing intensive scaling, with additional trading desks being onboarded sequentially.This is a fully technical role focused on backend and API, with a strong emphasis on stability, regression, and data quality in a high business-critical environment.Key Responsibilities: Test backend services and APIs (functional + regression) Conduct integration testing in a distributed systems environment Validate risk data (intraday vs EOD, consistency, completeness) Collaborate with developers (Java) to analyze defects and edge cases Test changes arising from onboarding new trading desks Work closely with releases – ensuring fast feedback loops Contribute to defining backend testing strategies Must-Have Skills: Experience as a QA / Test Engineer in backend systems Strong knowledge of API testing (REST Assured) Practical experience with Java-based systems (reading code, understanding logic) Experience with gRPC / RPC-based communication (or similar mechanisms) Testing real-time / near real-time systems or complex data systems Experience with CI/CD – preferred: Azure DevOps Experience working in Agile environments Ability to analyze problems independently Experience in Financial Markets / Risk / Trading systems
