IT Data Center Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)
Your role at a glance
The purpose of this position is to ensure that IT delivers standardized systems and platforms for a stable, secure and efficient infrastructure for the Data Centers and other buildings on a global level.

What we are looking for
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Definition of IT standards for the areas of network, racks, cabling, and construction requirements
Responsibility for the implementation according to the standard
Performing on-site control of construction sites in all relevant phases
Responsibility for the management of purchasing as well as external suppliers
Responsibility for adherence to schedules, especially timely ordering and delivery
Reporting of status, projects, issues, etc. to IT and Executive Management
Technical management of the team Network/Security covering L2 and L3 networking, including Wi-Fi and telephony
Further development of the existing IT architecture
Acting as a coordinating interface, especially but not limited to the named departments, for the purpose above
Consult the business in the respective IT areas to identify the best IT solutions to enhance business capabilities
Management of group internal and external IT service providers and specialist groups
Evaluation, coordination, and processing of change requests, including demand management in those areas
Responsibility for resource and delivery planning within the team
Continuous improvement of existing processes and input in the definition of new processes
Acting Project Manager within own area for bigger projects
Strong collaboration with the Procurement Team to identify cost efficiency opportunities
Processing incidents and service requests in the ticket system (2nd level support)
Participation in on-call duties
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
Completed vocational training with a focus on computer science or equivalent work experience
Multiple years of professional experience in the area of network and Data Center infrastructure or equivalent
Excellent German and English language skills, verbal and writing
Very good knowledge and working experience in network and Data Center infrastructure
Ability to quickly tap into and master new areas of responsibility
Enforcement and persuasiveness
High commitment and willingness to travel (<60 %)
Integrative and independent work style, self-motivation, and team spirit
Excellent Communication and presentation skills
Strategic thinking individual with a structured and target-oriented approach
