Project overview

The project, launched in 2023, is a new monitoring application under active development and rapidly expanding its user base. It is designed to assist warehouse operatives with more efficient and effective warehouse management, focusing primarily on volume flow and personnel allocation across specific zones.

The main objective is to create optimized work plans for each warehouse zone to ensure orders are dispatched just in time — neither too early nor too late. The key challenge lies in developing a unique planning algorithm from scratch, which forms the core logic of the application.

A $2,000 bonus will be provided after a successful trial period.

Team

The team is located mainly in Kraków and also includes two remote team members from other cities.

Position overview

We are looking for a new colleague to join our team responsible for building a warehouse management planning tool as part of a larger end-to-end warehouse solution. The ideal candidate is an experienced Polish-speaking professional based in Kraków who can work from the office twice a week—specifically on our designated office days, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The schedule depends on the wider attendance policy and may change over time. While Polish is used daily within the team, our stakeholders and users communicate in English, so a good command of English is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery sessions to explore solutions for given problems
• Analyze existing application behavior and issues to identify improvements in planning logic, data presentation, and tool performance
• Communicate with stakeholders to gather feedback and explain application functionality
• Foster collaborative work by encouraging mutual support and avoiding isolated silos
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, coding, deployment, and support
• Maintain and improve existing applications, troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Conduct code reviews, ensure code quality, and follow best practices including automated testing
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to refine requirements and solutions
• Implement monitoring and alerting for production systems
• Share on-call support duties
• Mentor colleagues and promote continuous improvement in software development

Requirements

• Proven experience in Java
• Hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and support
• Experience with RDS, Spring, Hibernate (including query optimization)
• Delivered complex projects with high adaptability
• Strong analytical skills — ability to interpret data from logs, queries, and graphs
• Experience with CI/CD processes
• Proactive and self-driven attitude
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud for deployment, monitoring, and performance improvement
• Knowledge of testing frameworks like Cypress to ensure quality
• Experience with BigQuery and Looker Studio for data-driven decisions
• Ability to use AI coding assistants such as Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude
• Understanding of Scrum or other Agile methodologies
• Proficiency in spoken and written Polish
