Project description:

Join a newly formed team responsible for modernizing and rewriting an existing application into a more advanced and scalable technological version. The product is dedicated to the early childhood education management sector. This is a greenfield-like modernization effort with real room for technical decisions and architectural improvements.

We are looking for Regular and Senior engineers who feel comfortable working across the stack, with a strong emphasis on backend logic and building API-driven systems. Work is organized in Scrum — close collaboration, regular touchpoints and iterative delivery.

About the role:

🎯 Role: (Senior) Fullstack Developer

💻 Tech: Node.js, React, Next.js, TypeScript, REST API, MS SQL Server, Git, AWS, CI/CD

💰 Contract: B2B

🌍 Working mode: hybrid (1-2 times per month from our office in Wrocław)

⏱️ Working hours: flexible (typically 8:00–18:00)

Key Responsibilities

• build scalable web applications using Node.js and React/ Next.js,
• work both on server-side logic and frontend features.
• design and implement REST APIs,
• integrate with databases,
• build backend logic in Next.js (API routes, Server Actions),
• manage authentication and authorisation (OAuth, JWT),
• optimise performance, and ensure application stability.
• You’ll work closely with designers, PMs, and other engineers to deliver user-focused solutions and support debugging and maintenance of backend components.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Fullstack Developer
• Strong experience in Node.js, TypeScript and REST API development
• Proficiency with React and Next.js (especially backend capabilities: API routes, SSR, Server Actions)
• Solid understanding of database integration (preferably MS SQL Server)
• Experience with authentication/authorization (tokens, sessions, cookies)
• Familiarity with caching (Redis, CDN)
• Git and version-control workflows
• Basic understanding of DevOps practices

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) for deploying scalable solutions.
• Strong grasp of performance optimization techniques for backend APIs.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Eagerness to stay updated with advancements in the Next.js ecosystem.
