We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong database background to join our core engineering team and take ownership of our AWS-based database environments.✅ Your responsibilities: Ownership, administration, and maintenance of a large-scale database environment with 40 to 50 databases Primary focus on AWS MySQL and Amazon Aurora Occasional work with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server Performance tuning and optimization, including high-traffic databases Supporting development teams with database-related challenges, including query optimization and performance best practices Monitoring, maintenance, and incident response for database systems Optional on-call rotation Close collaboration with the core engineering team Contributing to technical decisions and shaping the database and platform roadmap 🧠 Our requirements: Proven experience in a DevOps, Database Engineer, or DBA role with strong database ownership Very good knowledge of MySQL and Amazon Aurora Hands-on experience with AWS in production environments Strong skills in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of databases Experience working with environments hosting many databases and multiple applications Ability to work closely with developers and improve inefficient queries and data models Proactive, ownership-driven mindset and willingness to influence technical direction 🌟Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server Exposure to high-traffic or business-critical systems Familiarity with automation, monitoring, or infrastructure tooling around databases 🌟 What we offer: 100% remote work (EU time zones).
