Data Architect - Data Strategy TeamIntroduction & SummaryThe Data Architect will operate at a management level within the Customer Solutions Data team. This role is crucial for overseeing data management and architectural practices, ensuring compliance with architectural standards while delivering on strategic directions. The successful candidate will support all areas of data engineering, governance, and analytics while collaborating with other architects.Main ResponsibilitiesReview the current 'As Is' and 'To Be' Data Architecture.Validate the 'To Be' design based on future data strategy proposals.Produce recommendations as needed.Engage with senior management for agreement and resource support.Implement plans with designated teams to execute data strategies.Review the architecture of Irish Life Health data for future planning.Examine specific infrastructure items requiring long-term solutions.Provide consultancy across projects in the customer solutions team.Serve as the liaison with both the central Connected Data team and IT architects.Key Requirements3rd level degree in IT/Computer Science/Data or equivalent.Minimum of 5 years in data architecture, data modeling, and warehousing.Experience in enterprise-level solution design and implementation.Strong understanding of data management principles.Ability to combine technical expertise with commercial awareness.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Experience with various technologies (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server, Azure).Knowledge of industry trends and data governance frameworks.Proficient in project leadership and problem-solving capabilities.Nice to HaveFamiliarity with data quality frameworks.Evidence of influencing peers and colleagues effectively.Experience in planning and forecasting methods.High motivation and ability to work independently.Strong analytical skills to improve existing practices.Other DetailsThis position involves collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the overall culture of the analytics department.
