Software Engineering builds the brains of Waymo's fully autonomous driving technology. Our software allows the Waymo Driver to perceive the world around it, make the right decision for every situation, and deliver people safely to their destinations. We think and solve complex technical challenges in areas like robotics, perception, decision-making and deep learning, while collaborating with hardware and systems engineers. In this hybrid role, you will report to a Senior Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team to deliver tooling to facilitate human triage of numerous driving events
• Build quarterly and annual technical roadmaps that meet product requirements and manage work on the team towards those goals.
• Collaborate across departments and  align execution to meet product goals
• Partner with technical leads, product managers and program managers to lead execution on broad efforts
• Lead proactive risk management efforts and contingency plans across the program landscape to deliver on the program
• Set up and sustain mechanisms that promote organizational efficiencies, and improve speed of decision-making and execution This is a hybrid role.
