Education & Experience:

2+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on Database Technology, e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle]. Fluent English and French languages.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of database systems (for example : MSQL, MariaDB, DB2 (On linux and AIX), Oracle (on IBM AIX), MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres). Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers. Hands-on experience with database monitoring and performance tools. Understanding of data security, encryption, and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of database design principles and normalization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).

Your responsibilities

• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Manage database backups, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
• Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Optimize and tune database performance, including queries, indexes, and storage.
• Design and implement database schemas, tables, and procedures to support business applications.
• Install, configure, and maintain database systems (for example : SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Develop and maintain database documentation.
• Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patches with minimal downtime.
• Manage database access and user permissions.
