About the project

• We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with proficiency in both German and English to join our team and support our client and their global customers.

Your responsibilities

• In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and scalability of various IT systems.
• Your daily tasks will include designing, implementing, and maintaining monitoring and observability solutions, as well as processing metrics, logs, and traces.
• You will work extensively with containerization technologies such as Docker, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, managing both development and production environments.
• You will be responsible for integrating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, scripting automation tasks, and leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• You will handle middleware administration, manage version control systems, and work with both Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
• Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel on business, including to other European countries, is essential.

Our requirements

• Very good knowledge of observability and monitoring tools, as well as experience in processing metrics, logs, and traces
• Practical experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Comprehensive practical experience in software development and IT operations
• Very good knowledge of CI/CD tools and platforms
• Hands-on experience in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby, with strong skills in script creation
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
• Good knowledge of version control, especially Git
• Practical experience with middleware technologies
• Knowledge of middleware products such as IBM WebSphere, Kafka, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, Microsoft BizTalk Server, or similar platforms
• Proficiency in working with Linux and Windows Server operating systems (with a focus on Linux)
• Experience in large, strategically important IT projects with a duration of over 1 year and a team size of more than 10 FTE.
• Fluency in German and English
• Flexibility regarding working hours and willingness to travel on business trips, including to other European countries
