Your responsibilities

  • Perform independent contract reviews, including all terms and conditions, in accordance with established rules of engagement.
  • Identify deviations from standard language and approve or reject contract terms based on existing playbooks and guidelines.
  • Propose appropriate contractual setups and counter-terms utilizing prior learnings where applicable.
  • Support and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to contract management policies and procedures.
  • Maintain oversight of request lifecycle, execute action points, perform follow-ups, and respond to queries promptly, adhering to defined SLAs.
  • Advise stakeholders on company contracting processes, explain contract terms, and make recommendations aligned with company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal business stakeholders, Legal Department, and Subject Matter Experts on escalated matters, focusing on quick resolutions.
  • Develop internal knowledge resources, corporate tools, playbooks, processes, and guidelines.
  • Provide training sessions for internal stakeholders on legal clauses, internal procedures, best practices, and negotiation positions.
  • Route reviewed contracts for signatures and upload signed contracts to the company’s contract repository system.

Our requirements

  • Master's Degree in Law.
  • At least 2 years post-graduation experience as a lawyer with exposure to international contracts under multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proven work experience as a procurement contract specialist in the Biotech industry or a related industry.
  • Experience with Contract Management workflow and systems.
  • Experience independently drafting contracts, managing contract reviews, and negotiating contract terms and conditions.
  • Excellent written, comprehension, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build effective relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask in an agile and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate good business judgment.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite.

Optional

  • Familiarity with corporate procurement processes and policies.
  • Experience in conducting contract training sessions.
  • Ability to develop and refine contract management tools and resources.
