Now, we’re embarking on a new chapter: migrating the product from Delphi 5 to Delphi 7. This long-term initiative offers the best of both worlds — the stability of a mature system, and the opportunity to introduce innovative improvements and modern development practices.

Position overview

We are looking for a Team Leader who will guide a talented development team, driving the success of key projects and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This project role will balance technical expertise with leadership, mentoring your team, and fostering collaboration and innovation.

As part of our talented U.S.-based development team, you’ll step into a collaborative and supportive environment where your expertise and ideas are truly valued.

Working hours for this position are based on Eastern Standard Time (EST). Working hours for Polish employees: from 2:00 PM till 10:00 PM CET

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the development team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and with the highest quality
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to individual team members, helping them to enhance their technical skills, career development, and problem-solving abilities
• Lead by example in coding, problem-solving, and decision-making, setting standards for best practices, code quality, and software architecture
• Foster strong collaboration within the team and across other departments, ensuring smooth communication and alignment with product, design, and operations teams

Requirements

• Proven experience as a development team leader or in a similar role, with a strong track record of leading high-performing teams
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Professional experience developing backend applications using Delphi
• Experience with Delphi IDE (RAD) including DUnit, VCL, XML, MSBuild
• Strong understanding of RDMBS, particularly MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or other relational databases
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
• Solid experience with Client-Server architecture, CGI, and web servers (IIS)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion, Mercurial)

• Experience with Borland Delphi 5
