• The mission for Google Cloud Assist Optimize is to empower Developers and Platform Engineers (Dev teams) to understand and proactively manage costs for their applications in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), without compromising developer velocity. We achieve this by providing an intelligent, proactive, and continuously evolving framework for app-centric cost optimization across Google Cloud Platform by using Artificial Intelligence.

Your responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Our requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 1 year of experience with core GenAI concepts (LLM, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) and experience with text, image, video, or audio generation.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).

Optional

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 2 years of experience in applied Artificial Intelligence with AI frameworks and techniques such as ReAct, RAG or COT.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• Experience with Cloud computing and Cloud platforms.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
