Your responsibilities

  • Consistently takes ownership of kitchen operations and exercises sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Overseeing the preparation and presentation of all dishes, ensuring they meet the company's standards and client's expectations.
  • Training and managing an established team of 20+, including delegating tasks, providing guidance and execution.
  • Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring efficient stock rotation control.
  • Monitoring food costs, managing budgets, and ensuring purchases stay within the allocated budget.
  • Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborating with front-of-house staff and management to ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Maintains and promotes the positive image of the company and its client.

Our requirements

  • Must have 5+ years experience in senior/management roles.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain a high level of organization.
  • Leadership and Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively. Must have a positive and a “can do” attitude.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently with a positive attitude.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in the culinary field in high volume catering, with a proven track record of success.
  • Culinary Skills: Strong cooking skills, creativity, and a passion for food. Possesses strong knowledge of both traditional and international cuisines
  • Food Waste Management: Demonstrates excellent food waste management practices, including comprehensive record-keeping of all food waste is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, management, suppliers, customers and stakeholders.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of food costs, budgets, and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene: Understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • English: High verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer: knowledge of computer software.
