Your responsibilities

• As a Senior Java/Scala Developer in our Fixed Income Algo team, you will design, develop, and deploy high-performance JVM-based algorithmic trading systems across multiple regions. You will work closely with the business to deliver new pricing and hedging functionality, enhance trading automation, and improve existing strategies for Dealer-to-Dealer and Dealer-to-Client markets. Your role will include building a React-based HTML5 trading platform, expanding testing and backtesting capabilities, and integrating with our Fixed Income electronic trading platform and quantitative analytical tools. You will also drive the expansion of trading to new venues and desks, conduct research on technology and business processes, and contribute to front-to-back architecture and design initiatives to ensure efficiency and innovation

Our requirements

• Java/Scala server side development experience is essential. The candidate must be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of multi-threaded development.
• Experience with designing and implementing high performance / low latency systems is essential
• Being able to demonstrate ability to implement reusable and maintainable object oriented and (or alternatively functional programming) designs is essential
• Demonstrable experience implementing global, distributed systems in a mission critical/trading

Optional

• Experience with web-based (HTML5) front end technologies is desirable
• Experience with BDD/TDD is desirable
• Knowledge of ION/Solace/RMDS middleware and related Java APIs is desirable
