Your responsibilities

• maintain, configure and monitor multiple on-premises OpenShift clusters,
• collaborate with development teams to facilitate the transition of legacy applications to containerized architectures,
• continuously evaluate emerging container and cloud-native technologies, implementing industry-standard practices in both platform design and application development,
• maintain up-to-date and comprehensive documentation covering platform architecture, configurations, and operational procedures,
• develop and retain a deep understanding of the organization's infrastructure, system designs, and operational workflows,
• support the investigation and resolution of critical (Severity 1) incidents and deliver clear summaries and insights to senior stakeholders,
• take part in the on-call rotation to provide production support for mission-critical systems and services,
• manage, configure, and operate Kafka deployments.

Employer requirements

• proven, hands-on proficiency with containerization platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift, including aspects of container security and underlying runtime environments,
• background in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools like Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket to streamline deployment processes,
• solid working knowledge and experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in operational or development contexts,
• understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, including LDAP and SSL/TLS certificate management,
• familiarity with Java EE ecosystems and frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, WebSphere Application Server (WAS), JMS, WebSphere MQ, and Tomcat is considered an asset,
• fluency in English.
