About the project

• We are seeking an experienced Perl Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications using Perl. Your responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications and scripts using Perl.
• Create and optimize automation scripts for data processing and system management.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with other systems.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure the security and scalability of applications.
• Write and maintain clear technical documentation for developed solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

Our requirements

• Strong proficiency in Perl with at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) in Perl.
• Familiarity with CPAN modules and their integration.
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience with RESTful API design and integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Optional

• Experience with web frameworks like Catalyst or Mojolicious.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of other scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools.
