About the project

• For our British client in the banking sector, we are looking for an experienced individual to join a rapidly growing team. We are seeking a Senior-level professional in the area of backend development.
• We are building an in-house system for FX Options risk and life cycle management in collaboration with the broader FXO PTS team. We work closely with the wider delivery team, product owner, and other front office stakeholders (trading, quants, operations) to design and deliver best-in-class solutions. Our teams (“pods”) follow a DevSecOps model to work efficiently together and contribute across development, security, and operations.

Your responsibilities

• Creating usable, efficient and elegant Java code
• Building a micro-service based architecture
• Monitoring production and keeping it stable
• Foreign Exchange business requirements
• You and your teammates are responsible for all aspects of delivering software to users
• Development
• Automating testing and deployment of small and frequent releases
• Speaking to the product owner and business on features and requirements
• Production availability of your service – if you build a service you own the service

Our requirements

• Must have strong program knowledge of Java, JVM
• Be familiar with Spring boot, SpringCloud, micro-service
• Strong technical knowledge on SQL
• Be familiar with design pattern
• Experienced in DevOps/Agile ways of working, and continuous integration and delivery

Optional

• Understanding product knowledge on FX/MM and FX derivatives/Options
• Working in a global team with different cultures
• Working in different locations around the globe
• Use of observability stacks for metrics and tracing
• Programming in a range of languages (JS, C++, Scala, Scripting etc.)
