Your responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements (primarily with global corporate clients such as large private equity firms and multi-national corporates), often under time pressure and across multiple jurisdictions.
• Leading negotiations independently with counterparties and/or their external counsel.
• Developing and implementing compliance and governance processes to support the business as it scales.
• Advising on commercial and regulatory matters across our network of offices (including in the UK, USA, Netherlands, Germany, Poland and other jurisdictions).
• Supporting the General Counsel in responding to legal risk and advising on disputes, employment, and data protection matters.
• Acting as a trusted advisor to consultants and business support teams, including training and upskilling non-lawyers.
• Collaborating with external counsel on cross-border issues and specialist matters.
• Working day-to-day as part of OC&C’s Warsaw team, while maintaining close daily contact with the General Counsel in London.

Our requirements

• Qualified as a Polish attorney-at-law, with 2–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Strong commercial contracts background, ideally with experience gained at an international law firm or in-house legal team.
• Ability to operate independently and confidently in a business-facing role.
• Excellent written and spoken English is essential – the majority of legal drafting, negotiation and communication will be in English; certification (e.g. C1/C2) would be an asset.
• Comfortable working across jurisdictions and with people from different cultural and professional backgrounds.
• A proactive and pragmatic mindset – someone who finds solutions and balances legal risk with business priorities.
• Familiarity with Polish corporate governance or employment law is desirable but not essential.
