Farm Manager on the sow farm (Slovakia)

Brief job description:

We offer demanding and responsible work in the management and development of one of the biggest and well established sow farms in Slovakia, having responsibility over the entire pig production + own feed mill, ensuring daily care and achieving results in both insemination and farrowing sections. Care for about 4,000 sows and small piglets. Managing team of ca 30 employees split in two teams who works in weekly shifts (7 days work and stay on the farm and 7 days off). We will carefully introduce you to the role in close cooperation with the current Farm manager and Chief Operation Officer.

Requirements:

·       previous demonstrable experience as farm manager on a sow farm

·       knowledge of the English language in combination with one of Slavic languages (Slovak, Czech, Polish, UA, RU) or in combination with Hungarian language

·       EU or UA citizen is a must for smooth obtaining work permission in Slovakia

·       very good communication skills and confidence

·       organizational skills

·       time flexibility and the ability to adapt to the needs of the farm (working on a farm with live animals is a lifestyle, not a job "from-to")

·       personal interest in the farming business and pig breeding resistance to stress

·       active problem solving attitude

·       driving license B
