Requirements description

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• At least 5 years’ experience in R2R/GL roles and 2 years in a similar role e.g., (Junior) Financial/Accounting Controller; 10 years for senior positions.
• Practical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Experience with and ability to advise on compliance around VAT, CIT and other taxes
• Knowledge on preparation of the annual accounts statutory financial statements
• Experience in audit will be an asset
• Experience in working in an international company or SSC serving multiple countries
• SAP experience is a plus
• Proficient skills in English (written and spoken), any other language is a plus
• Proficiency in the use of Excel
• Quality and deadline oriented
• Excellent communication skills

The Accounting Controller/Senior Accounting Controller will be responsible for ensuring accounting consistency and integrity in accordance with our policies; developing and maintaining effective communication, interaction, and excellent relationship with the transactional accounting teams as well as other GBS functions and non GBS organization.

Your responsibilities

1. Monthly closing activities: correctness, completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the monthly reporting in accordance with GAAP, deadlines and internal procedures
2. Coordinate with various departments (both finance and non-finance, across multiple countries) to ensure financial records are accurate and completed in a timely manner
3. Monthly analysis and reporting. Analyzing, explaining and substantiating deviations
4. Close collaboration with General Ledger and Retail Accounting departments and making sure that the closing process runs efficiently;
5. Coordinate and comply the local reporting requirements and tax filings.
6. Compliance around local reporting, tax fillings, VAT, CIT and other taxes, where required supported by external providers and advisor and advising the business function as subject matter expert
