Do we have a match?

As a Software Engineer, you must meet the following criteria:

• 7+ years in software development, with at least 3 years on desktop apps (Windows or Mac).
• Proven expertise in Rust and system-level programming.
• Strong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and RPC.
• Confidence in reading and producing system design documentation.
• Experience building cloud-integrated software with minimal UI.

Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves:

• Knowledge of (any) Go, JavaScript, or C++.
• Building CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Understanding of cloud integrations and API design best practices.

The project and the team

The project involves building and maintaining an enterprise-grade desktop application for Windows or Mac, with potential support for Linux. The application is designed to act as a lightweight, agent-like client that securely integrates with the customer’s cloud services and optionally with browser extensions.

You will work closely with architects, product owners, and other stakeholders to design and deliver features that enable secure communication, reliability, and minimal resource usage.

• The team includes a technical lead, senior engineers, and QA engineers.
• The client is based in the US, but the team operates in the European time zones.
• You’ll be joining a mature engineering culture with strong emphasis on code quality, CI/CD automation, and secure development practices.
