Are you ready to take ownership of enterprise-scale middleware and application environments in a mission-critical payments ecosystem?

We are looking for a System Administrator to join a long-term financial infrastructure programme based in Warsaw.

Key responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain application middleware ( WebLogic) and Linux application servers

• Perform routine database support and SQL query optimisation against Oracle databases

• Manage patching, releases, configuration changes, and rollback plans

• Monitor systems, investigate alerts, troubleshoot production issues, and apply fixes or escalate as needed

• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation for operational procedures

• Automate repetitive tasks using Bash, Python, and tools like Ansible or Terraform

• Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities, including regular DR drills

• Manage certificates, keys, and basic networking configurations for application stacks

• Participate in on-call rotation and out-of-hours maintenance windows

What we are looking for:

• 3+ years’ hands-on experience in production application or database administration

• Strong experience with WebLogic (installation, domain management, tuning)

• Solid Linux skills ( Red Hat, CentOS, Oracle Linux) including system services, logs, and networking

• Working knowledge of Oracle DB with ability to write/optimise SQL queries

• Strong troubleshooting and log analysis skills with a methodical approach to root-cause investigation

• Professional attitude to operational discipline, documentation, and runbook quality

• English at a professional working level

Nice to Have

• Previous Oracle DBA exposure (backups, performance tuning)

• Familiarity with containerisation ( Docker, Kubernetes basics)

• Experience with automation tools ( Ansible, scripting in Python) and CI/CD for ops tasks

• Knowledge of monitoring tools ( Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Elastic)

• Awareness of security/compliance for financial systems (certificate management, segregation of duties)

• Experience with ITSM platforms ( ServiceNow or similar)
